BigBang are one of fifteen other norwegian bands who are invited to play the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. The festival attracts close up to 12.000 registrered participants, and has grown to become an important place for the international music business to meet.

So far the norwegian invites are: BigBang, Casiokids, Cocktail Slippers, Deleted Waveform Gatherings, Eva & the Heartmaker, Julian Berntzen, LidoLido, Pirate Love, The Low Frequency in Stereo, The Megaphonic Thrift, Thunderbolt, Ungdomskulen, Unni Løvlid, Vreid and William Hut.
