Edendale debuts at number 1 on the norwegian album charts!
It might not be a big surprise to anyone, considering the 3 previous albums debuted on the number one spot, but “Edendale” tops this weeks official norwegian album charts. The biggest surprise might be that it throws U2, maybe the biggest band alive, off the top and down to the number 2 spot.
It also outsells one of the other big norwegian bands that debuted last week, CC Cowboys, which is this weeks number 3. Rumour also has it that the album is heading for platinum status.
Edendale is topping the charts in Norway
Farojournalen wrote an article about the chart position, it also mentiones that “Clouds Rolling By” was sold in 212 vinyl-copies back in 2000, while “Edendale” already sold almost 400 copies. Warner now ordered 500 more, to a total of 1000 :)
Swedish Television is at 29th on the official norwegian radio airplay charts in its 8th week. On iTunes the album tops the norwegian album charts found here.
