Some stuff that was mentioned that might be of interest:
- Most challenging album recording: Clouds Rolling By. Because of the lineup changes, attention and the transformation from amateurs to professionals
- Tour and record release in USA in the autumn. Florida in september was mentioned.
- Play Louder is Øysteins “favourite” all time track.
- Asked to play concert on Falkland Islands.
- VOX AC 15 his favourite amp at the moment, a Fender Telecaster bougt in Dallas is the favourite guitar.
- The track “Isabel” was written with John Bonham in mind.
- Never had a better feeling about a new record release.
- Rumours about a Norwegian Wood appearance this summer.
- Warm up band contest winners will be announced next week.
- Øyvind is mentioned as “taking a break”, Nikolai back
- On question about concerts for people under 18, Øystein recommended this article in Believer magazine featuring Ian Mckaye (Fugazi/Minor Threat) to understand why there are so few of them.
- On beeing asked about older songs they don’t play live anymore, Øystein says they might consider a B-Sides tour on smaller venues for the most dedicated fans sometime in the future.
- Apparently his moustache took 6 months to grow and was so ugly he had to sleep in the basement (Maria thought it was too ugly).
- The 2nd support gig for Raconteurs @Brixton was filmed, and is to be released on a DVD later this year. There might be recordings on Rockefeller this tour or on the summer festivals also for this purpose.
- There will be a european merchandise store sometime soon, it’s beeing worked on. Leave your suggestions on www.thebigbangweb.com or here :)
It is also worth mentioning that he mentioned this webpage during the whole interview, so i guess he appriciate the attention. We think the world gets too little Bigbang news, so we will work hard and harder to bring you everything you need to know related to Bigbang! It seems to be working, since a couple of the questions were actually english ones; from USA and the Falkland Islands :)
